Ray participated in The Schaumburg Flyers Battle of The Bars Karaoke Contest on June 10, 2009. Out of 5 singers from surrounding area bars, Ray took first place with his rendition of "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra. Ray won a $75 Gift Certificate to Wildfire Restaurant and $25 in coupon could at the Flyer Stadium.
